Thankful Thursday

It’s Thursday again! How can that be?

Time once again to deliberately turn my attention to the blessings–which, by the way, is not always the most natural thing in the world for me. Too often I hear myself complaining about…whatever.

So, this week I am thankful for:

  • A rare picture of just Ron and I together

  • Interesting and fun school lessons this week (We’re doing Amanda Bennett’s Passport UK)
  • A brief stroke of genius (they don’t come very often!)
  • A new book to read and review–by an author I know in real life!
  • Having my tough words, spoken in love to a friend, taken exactly as they were intended
  • The discipline of keeping up with The Bible in 90 Days reading
  • Huge, fat, lazy snowflakes to just sit and be mesmerized by
  • The smell of this baking:

Can you smell that marvelous banana bread smell?! No? Sorry! But I am actually going to end this post because the oven is beeping at me and it’s time to go pull this out.

I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today.

I love the picture of you together with your husband. It’s beautiful!

The bread looks gorgeous and I can just imagine slicing into a piece of it warm while watching those snowflakes. Sounds like a perfect afternoon.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

What a great picture of you :) While banana bread is NOT one of my favs, it is a hot commodity around here for my crew!

It’s greatly loved by my family too! In fact, I think they deliberately leave bananas so they’ll get overripe–”Oh look! Those bananas would be great for bread now!”

What a cute pic, they are so hard to come by, aren’t they?

Good thankful list and I really appreciate when my words are taken in their true meaning. Strokes of genius are precious ;-)

What a great photo of you and your husband! It is rare to get those, isn’t it? I think even on our anniversary, our daughter jumped in the photo, lol. :-) That bread looks SO good! I can almost smell it from here! I guess I’m going to have to make some banana bread now! :-) Many blessings, Lisa

So, I just love you to pieces.
That is an awesome picture of the two of you!

And I cherish, absolutely cherish your friendship, and am so grateful for your wisdom.
    Thank you.

You know the power of suggestion…I think I can smell that banana bread. I love the photo of you and your husband. And it’s so nice when our tough words are taken the way they were meant rather than causing a rift…

Thanks for linking up and thanks for your prayers this week!

That is a lovely photo of the two of you! I need to get one of my husband and I together. The last one was years ago I think–on our way to a wedding.

I really like the Thankful Thursday idea.

Thankful Thursday posts are some of my most favorite to do! Even on the worst weeks, I can usually find things to be thankful for.

    Many great blessings:)
Now I feel like making banana bread!
Love the photo of you and your husband. I’m always taking the photo and seldom in it, but we’re trying to make sure we get more of us together!

    • Lisa

I’m usually the one taking pictures too, so to have one with both of us in it is a treasure! Thanks for stopping by!
